Residents will leave The King’s House with reduced debt, savings, and greater confidence in managing their finances.
Each resident will engage in mentoring and coaching sessions to explore personal history, challenges, behaviour and growth opportunities. Practical tools and strategies to navigate life will be explored, cultivating a mindset of hope and fresh expectation. residents will be challenged to confront behaviour patterns and opportunities for this will be encouraged. Exposing and working through these areas will enable residents to feel equipped for the next season of life.
An integral part of the program will focus on addressing relational wounds, promoting forgiveness while supporting residents to rebuild connections with others. Part of the program will offer family sessions to address issues, rebuild trust, and foster healing. These conversations will be facilitated with family or friends in a safe, guided environment, in the residents time frame. Residents will learn to value community and connection.
Many fatherless children seek validation, love, and belonging in unhealthy places, such as toxic relationships, substance abuse, or risky behaviors. For boys, the absence of a father often results in difficulty understanding masculinity and healthy male behaviour. The program will address issues of addictive and destructive habits and work on breaking down the root cause of these habits whilst building new and positive habits daily.
The King's House will form a family of believers who support, encourage, and pray for one another, embodying a spirit of unity. The passion for helping others become “new creations in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:17) forms the backbone of the programme, where all initiatives and interactions reflect the desire to help each individual embrace God’s purpose for their life. With staff living on site this community does not clock off, but continually stands in the gap for each other.
